wood r4 not reading gba roms using 3-1 expansion

I have gba roms on an original r4 cart. trying to load minish cap. i use wood r4 1.11. it doesnt do anything when i tap the A button and when i try to write to SRAM or NOR it doesnt respond. I am using a EZflash 3-1 expansion. thanks

 

I've been using the original fw (1.18?) with a ezflash 3-1 to play Minish cap with no problems. Did it work before or is this the first time you've tried it with Wood fw? Are you booting up with gbaExploder or something else?
