Can anyone help me get fasted speeds on bittorent 6.2 i have broadband(cricket) dont know if that matters but the speed is a average of 8kb/s and the little thing is going from red to yellow and saying i need to open a port so others can connect can anyone help me please.

Do you use any type of firewall (even Windows), a router? Is your modem listed here, some have firewalls: http://www.portforward.com/english/route...routerindex.htm Use a port over 10,000. Not connected to the red/yellow light but have you set your upload to around 80%, not doing so can affect download speed?

Opening the port will usually help speeds a great deal.

Also, capping upload in BitTorrent to allow room for outgoing communications will help.
