Recently, more and more files have both english and german audio, so they are unplayable on any video player I have. Anybody know how to strip out the german sountrack and leave the english one?

If we are talking stereo on a video file and if they are in separate channels (left speaker one language, right speaker the other) then you can probably use an audio editor (like Audacity) to remove one - if they are mixed across the stereo tracks, no.

ConvertXtoDVD (paid) or DVD Flick (free) will also do this.

If one language is low volume and the other is normal, then someone authored it that way - not a bad download.
If they are both the same level, someone messed up the authoring.

The easiest way to fix this might be to switch the audio track using your remote if you can play it on a DVD player. The tracks attar mentioned are in stereo a left and right channels (not track).

a dvd can have up to 4 audio "channels" and 4 subtitles channels.. looks lik somebody messed up authoring, but most dvd players have an "audio select" function buried down in the settings.
