hi,i was wondering if anyone could help with a newsleecher problem i have.
i have downloaded and installed newsleecher and my isp is sky.com which it seems does not have any newsgroups unlike other isp's is it possible to get newsleecher working or have i wasted my anual fee by paying for newsleecher ?
many thanks for any help with this.

Not sure, let's see, but first I have to know, why buy a program you weren't sure you could use? Most ISP's have useless newsgroups, last I looked mine was limited to 3G a month. You will need a Newsserver like Giganews. I prefer Astraweb, great retention and completion plus free SSL for around $10.00 a month but both should have trials, Giganews does for sure. A free site like Binsearch for files, Merlin's Portal is good but you need to register. For a one time $10.00 donation NZBMatrix is the best with a massive amount of uploads but see how it goes first. Near as I can tell, Sky throttles but not on all plans and not at all times. You can try overnight or 4 PM to 5 PM, maybe a different port possibly forwarded if you have a router. When the file downloads, run a par through Quickpar (free),repair if necessary and unrar like a torrent and that's it. And don't buy anything until you know you can use it. Edit: you can forget annual fees with Newsleecher unless you want to upgrade, I used the same version for 5 years with no fee after the initial purchase.
