Is Peerblock the same or better than Peer Guardian?

The exact same. Pheonix must have made a deal with the cyber police that they wouldn't get sued if the stopped supporting PG2. Peerblock was the next release of PG2 with the name changed. PG2 is about like having nothing since the block lists seem to be updated daily for PB and PG2 hasn't been updated in more than 6 months. By now PG2 is missing hundreds of addresses. I am guessing with the lists changing so often, someone must be getting through weekly. I can remember when lists were only updated about once a month. Even though I don't follow this advice, I would completely uninstall your client every month or two. They are most likely going after your stats which are placed on the public side of your firewall. They log your total up and total down. What you REALLY don't want is to have your totals in the terabytes. Torrents is not nearly as safe as it used to be.
