CAN YOU PAUSE A DVD IN A PC AND TAKE PHOTOS

    Is there free softwere or a way to do the following.
    I have a dvd and want to pause it in parts to take and print off photos.is this possible to do, is there a way to play back a dvd in my pc and pause and take photos and then print them off or add them to a file
    Any advice be great

    A decent media player (like VLC) has a snapshot feature you can use to capture a frame.
    Hit pause then 'Video' > 'Snapshot'.

    You could also rip the disk and open it in AviDemux, select the precise frame and save.
