I been having a problem with importing media I am able to import .mpg files but all other formats including, the format my camera produces, .mp4 bring up an error. "..An error has occured..." something along this line. I have been useing a converter, Prism Video converter http://www.nchsoftware.com/prism/index.html to convert the said files, but i "feel" that im loosing quality in the converstion. Is my feeling probably correct? And if so is there a way to maintain the quality, im mostly conserned with the audio. Or better yet, how can i fix the importing compatiblity. I've tried reinstalling to no avail. Thanks in advance Ceaz.
When you do a re-encoding, you do lose quality, however, sometimes is just numbers on paper. If your movie still looks and sounds good, it's all that matters.
