I just got this laptop at best buy http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Acer+-+...32130&skuId=9555769&st=acer inspire&cp=1&lp=1

we have cox cable and have 1 tv upstairs in the living room. Instead of buying another tv, I would like to convert my laptop into a tv. I know you can do this by way of a wireless usb 2.0 tv tuner.

1.does the wireless usb card/drive work the same as wireless headphones? where u plug the (male) a/v in to the jacks on the back of the tv and then you plug the (female) end into the adaptor thats plugged into the usb to computer?

2.when you load the software and it searches for 10min or so to update your channels, WILL YOU BE ABLE TO SURF FROM CH. 2 UP TO CH 72?

that is how many channels we have from cox

p.s. does anyone know of a good one that has fm and a remote?

also how do you get the cable (line) cord plugged into the usb or reciever in one room when the cable (line) cord is plugged into the back of the tv in the other room?

p.s. tv and laptop is in 2 different rooms (it's not going to be in the same room) how can you accompish this "wirelessly"

    do i need a splitter?

Please provide an example of the products you are looking at.

AFAIK, "Wireless" TV Tuners still require a coax input, either to a DTV antenna or to your cable.

What you appear to be looking for is a wireless TV extender, adn you will still need a tuner on your laptop.

We’ve just lauched reverse Google Analytics ID lookup service that allows you to find websites by the same owner based on Google affiliate IDs that they use. You can also do lookups based on IP address and nameservers
