Guys - can anyone please please help. I'm not that technically minded, but I've been having a lot of problems lately with decompressing video files using Winrar. Without exception, I am getting a CRC Mismatch error, telling me that the file is corrupt. It can't be that every file is corrupt though, so there must be a problem at my end. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and have tried using Winzip, but nothing seems to work. Have even gone through system restore to try and correct it, but to no avail. It's a real pain and I'm hoping that someone on here will have an answer.

Have tried downloading video clips which aren't compressed and that's fine and I can also easily unrar files which don't contain video.

Thanks for any help in advance...

Run chkdsk c: /r to check the disk for errors.
Beyond that, the files are probably corrupt.
