Ok first off, I'm not sure if this is the proper place for this... It's AVCHD related, and so I figured this would be the most appropriate forum, but if not please move it or lemme know or something.

Since it would appear that Pulp Fiction will never get a US blu-ray release, I recently downloaded 720p MKV with AAC 6 channel audio. I've converted it to AVCHD so i could play it on my ps3 (video was already H264, so i just needed to convert audio)... well anyway, I used VLC for the AAC->AC3... but the converted audio seems to have the front & back reversed on my surround system... and since the PS3/my system doesn't like AAC, I can't really test to see if the original is like that, or if this happened after i converted it.

Anyway, I was wondering i guess if there was a way to separate & rejoin the tracks of an AC3 file... any help would be great :)

I like using Xvid4PSP for audio work (among other things). It uses Aften for audio conversions (it also normalizes).

You should be able to use it in many ways, You could simply re-wrap your file and change only the audio or just convert the audio on it's own.

    I use version 5036.
