Forgive me if this is posted on the wrong forum. I am trying to burn an AVCHD DVD to play on my Samsung BD-P2500. The files are mts files that I have taken with my Canon HF200. I have searched through NUMEROUS websites trying to figure this out, and have tried a few things but with no final solution. The discs will show up on my PS3 as a data disc, and I can navigate to the stream folder inside the BDMV folder and play the files. But samsung players cannot play disc and ejects it. I have used imgburn to burn with and without the certificate folder, and I have used txmuxer. No luck at all. Seems like the PS3 should at least be recognizing the disc as AVCHD instead of data disc. If anyone has any ideas as to what I may be doing wrong or not doing, I will greatly appreciate the help. Thanks in advance!
I removed the certificate folder in an attempt to make a true AVCHD disc. An AVCHD disc does not contain certificate folders. The certificate folder is part of the bluray file structure. So in other words, I tried making an AVCHD disc and also a disc with the BD structure, neither of which worked. Others have had success both ways.
Try downloading multiAVCHD. 1. Add m2ts or mts files 2. Hit Start, select avchd compatible players. 3. It will create the necessary folders you need to burn. You do not need the certificate folder, but it shouldn't create it if you have "Stricter avchd folder format" selected in Author tab, which I think is the default. 4. Burn using imgburn. This worked for my Samsung BD-1600, when nothing else would.
