I just bought a couple of blu-ray movies (Wolf, with Jack Nicholson, and Shrek 3). I'd like to back those up to DVD. What software do I use? Please advise!

I'm assumeing your asking how to convert Blu-ray files to Vob files. I do this in a few different ways. I'll start you off in what I think might be the easiest untell you get use to it.
    #1 rip w/ dvdfab
#2 open files in TSmuxer and mux the ac3 audio files you want and video along with subtitles if wanted into m2ts.
    #3 open nero vision w/ blu-ray plug-in.
Myself I like to use Megui to shrink the video and let nero convert it to vob. Ryu77's profiles just has awsome results and it follows on thru into nero.

You can also convert Blu-Ray files (M2ts) to DVD using AnyDVD HD and ConvertxtoDVD.
Rip Blu-Ray to file to Hard Drive with Any DVD HD. Make note of the M2TS main movie file number as it will be the longest main movie stream. Once you have the ripped Blu-Ray file and you know which numbered stream it is open ConverXtoDVD then open the Blu-Ray file,go to Stream and click on the stream with the main movie number. Click Convert. NOTE: when using AnyDVD HD you will need to use rip to file format DO NOT USE rip to image as ConvertXtoDVD will only recognize file format not image file.
