Hi,

Looking to purchase a fairrly middle of the road blu ray player for use with an lg 37 full hd tv

Want one that will maybe upscale my old dvd's as well,

Have seen 2 very resonably priced so far
1) Panasonic BD30 for €139
2) Samsung BD P-1500 €139

Either of these any good?

I was also told i,d need an expensive HDMI lead (€80) by the guy in the shop, is this the case? What type do people reccomend

any info much appreciated

I purchased a blueray from amazon and was given the opportunity to buy an HDMI cable for .99 cents (US) and the cable works fine. Those $100 Monster HDMI cables are a rip off. Any HDMI 1.3 cable should work fine.
