I have some .mkv files. They are 720p movies. I am not having issue with muxing the file and burning it to a dvd+r dl, but rather when i go to watch it.. it is only on half 2/3 of the screen.. I know normally there should be about 2 or so inches of black on top and bottom of the screen, but with these burns i am getting normal on top and about 9 to 12 inches on the bottom.. and the movie is showing/not getting cut off, but i am just wondering how to make it look normal on the screen.. thanks in advance..

One more possibly important thing.. when the .mkv is muxed as a blu ray i get the right resolution.. but when i burn it as avchd which is the only way it will play both video and audio on my ps3.. the resolution is not right.....

How are you "muxing it back". What are the audio and video codecs used in the MKV.
