Hello everyone, I have a strange idea (and I have a feeling its not possible.) I have searched far and wide but search terms return the opposite of what I want to do. I have some 1080p video I have made myself. The video has been encoded to be Blu-ray compatible, its H.264 video made with x264. The audio has also been converted to AC-3. Currently I have muxed the video into a m2ts container but that is just to keep the A/V together. What I want to do is burn a DVD (as I don't have a BD burner) with this video and maintain its 1080p nature. When I try and convert it to a Blu-ray structure using tsMuxeR and burn it onto a DVD and play it in my Blu-ray player (A PS3 Slim) it just sees the disc with the folder structure but not as a Blu-ray. This is understandable because its a DVD-RW I'm using and not a real BD. However, when I try the AVCHD structure the disc is recognized as an AVCHD disc but the video plays back at 1080i and not 1080p. I guess what I'm looking for is something like a BD9 or BD5 (I think this is the right terminology for a BD structure on a DVD). If anyone knows anything about this or has done this let me know how you did it. Computer Video is somewhat straight forward, playing with devices and within spec. is something entirely different. I have done a little more digging and have found what I want. I do want to make a AVCHD disc put the video has to be 1080p24. I was using 30 fps video before and it was trying to handle it by converting it to 1080i. After looking at the Specifications it was a little more clear. Now I'm having audio sync issues where the audio is choppy, I have tried 2 different bit rates and neither seem to work.
