I have a pioneer bd 205 and can not find software that recognizes the drive. I installed it inside of an external case and my pc(vista 64) finds it but software will not. I have tried power iso, shampoo, and nero. I am just trying to burn a few data disk for back up. I want to put about 15 or so xvids and a few programs on a disk but can not find software. Any recommendations ?

Thanks for the info I will try ImgBurn

I finally got nero to work. Is it normal to only be able to put about 23 gigs on 1 disk. I am only able to put 15 xvid videos that end up being 23 gigs. Max allowed on disk. Better than Dl DVD but where are the missing 2 gigs?

binary and decimal representations of available space. A kilobyte is 1000 bytes to someone counting in decimal and 1024 bytes to someone using binary representations. Did you ever notice that you dont get 4.7gb out of a blank DVD?
