Bought a Sony S-360 and have not been able to play a burned DVDs on the thing. It always says invalid. Works on PC and used to work on old DVD player. Using Nero 9 and TDK DVD-R currently with no luck. Any ideas?

I have an S360 and just tried both a BD-R and BD-R DL and both worked fine so I'm not sure if it's a player setting, different media, or the method you are using to burn.

It works fine with BD. I have not tried burned BD media. I am refering to DVD+/-R. It cannot read burned DVDs, but works fine with original copies.

Have you updated your Sony's software via the internet?

I have the same model and I have no problems playing burned DVD+R's and DVD+R DL. I have noticed that when I play compressed DVD's like 75~85% compressed using DVD Shrink, it does flicker sometimes...
