ok so I have a laptop with and nvidia 8400m, and a bluray drive. I've been using powerdvd8 to play the movies for a couple years now no issues. just the other day halfway through one of my movies I experience dropped frame rate and a flashing bar/glitch on the bottom 1/4 of the screen. wtf I reinstalled my forceware drivers, even tried different version, no luck (no other version had the glitch but they also didn't allow the video acceleration to be enabled in powerdvd so that's prolly something to do with it.) tried total media theater, same glitch it's not just in the video frame it's the entire bottom 1/4 of the screen, player controls and all. any ideas? thanks
i think there is some problem with the graphics....may be drivers are not working properly...... SPAM removed
thanks for the reply... I've kinda fixed it, not sure what cased it to begin with but I can put a bandage on it by running the display at 1920x1080 when watching bluray and it doesn't flicker anymore.... still does it at any other resolution... oh well I suppose it's good enough
