Just installed megui on a new computer and trying to encode x.264 file and getting an error:

--[Information] [10/6/2009 1:38:46 PM] Encoding started
    --[NoImage] Standard output stream
--[NoImage] Standard error stream: C:\Program Files\MeGUI\tools\x264\x264.exe: unknown option -- progress

    Any help is appreciated!

MeGUI believes this is where x264.exe is located in your computer. In the settings tab you need to point it to the correct directory.

    Thanks for the reply.

I'm positve that the x.264.exe is there. I double and triple checked the path and folder.? Could it be anything else? I even tried copying the x.264.exe to another folder and reseting the pathway and still got the same log error?

The option "-- progress", might be the issue, did you try another profile with predefined parameters.

I had tried megui from page 1 of the hd dvd backup thread:

MeGUI with all Encoders & Plugins included : MeGUI Complete Package Link

This one did not work. I also tried installing an older version that is working on another computer. And now i get this almost same error.

This error is with a different x.264 file and Ryu blu-ray profile. The original error was with Ryu's high quality profile.

I'm sorry I cannot help, I'm not sure what the solution is. Post the same message in Ryu's thread, hopefully he see and he might help.

I alredy have such trouble. (error with progress key). I change vertion x264.exe to 1187 and all began to work fine. If i download newer or elder vertion, trouble returned itself. Windows7x64.
    Sorry for bad english.
