So I feel buying a PS3 is better than buying just a blue ray player because for $50 bucks more you get the gaming console basically. I am wondering if the quality of watching a movie on a ps3 is better than watching it on just a blue ray player?

Also this maybe be a dumb answer, but how exactly are you able to burn Blue rays? I know nothing on this issue, so please be as detailed as possible. Thanks

Well the previous version of the SONY PS3 is known to be one of the best BLU-RAY players on the market period as it has one of if not the fastest disc start times...i.e.many BLU-RAY players on the market today idle cycle before the movie actually starts, the disc sits and spins as if searching for some time, this time varies with different BLU-RAY players.

The ability to back up BLU-RAY has been available fro some time do a search here at the forum and you will find a great deal of information on the topic.;)

So your saying the first PS3 the ones that were backwards compatible were the better Blue Ray players than the ones that they sale now?

Also could you tell me which forms to go to? I know how to burn DVD's I am good at that. But I know Blue Rays are different/ So I would appreciate it if maybe you could lead me to these forums. Thanks.
