New player does not recognize media

I just purchased a new Magnavox NB500MG1F as a second player, so far it has not played my backups in DVD5 or DVD9, plays the original though, am I doing something wrong or does this player really not accept these disks?

Thanks, your right, when I pulled it up the first time I only got the
first input. This time I got all of them, helped.
