Playing blu-ray movies directly from external hard drive?

Ok, so I've read that some external hard drives don't allow files bigger than 4gb. to fix that you have to convert to NTFS. Ok fair enough, but I was wondering if you can play blu-ray movies DIRECTLY to your tv from an external hdd? The tv has an USB port which only accepts External HDDs.

If its not possible what else can I do?

I heard about this but I cannot afford it :(

I don't know of way to play str8 from hdd to tv. You have to have spome kind of media player running. However, that being said you can play from an hdd thru ps3.

i dont think that external hard drives can play a blue ray movie stored in it. but one way you can watch Blue Rays on your TV is through the computer. Just connect the PC to the TV with an HDMI cable.
