Hey guys first of all i joined today but i know this forums since long time because of all the helpful stuff . And i am sorry if i posted in wrong section.

    So here is my question

what i have is a 42" flat screen tv from Philips

    I have a pc from Gateway , gateway GT5220

Ok what i want to do is connect my pc to the tv , because i dont want burn dvd's or dvd rw's , its one time use and i usually scratch dvds

This was my plan at first, i wanted to use Dvi to HDMI cable and connect my pc to tv and use a Y sound cable to bring sound to tv then i discovered that my pc doesnt have a DVI port , so this is what i decided to do

Get a VGA to DVI adapter , then i use the DVI to HDMI to connect to the tv , would that work ?

    Thanks

Should do it. I've got an on board ATI HD3200, also handles all those HD MKV's with ease.
