I have a full hd tv and i made the mistake of getting the one with only 2 hdmi slots, they are both used blu ray and sky hd, i have my xbox pulged into the component, i no that the xbox is only 720p but there is an update coming out for 1080 so ive been told, what im wanting to know is, is there any difference in using component and hdmi leads, and so is it by a big amount and how do i get to use 3 hdmi leads with only 2 slots, ive seen some boxs so you can plug that in and plug extra ones into that but are they any good.

Component cables are fine. I wouldn't worry about it for the Xbox.

However, if it ever does come up that you need another HDMI port, the boxes you are talking about are called HDMI switches. They are $50 or $60, I think, and supposedly they work just fine.

You will get a better picture with HDMI because of the color quality is higher in the bits.
