Hello. I've searched and searched and came no to conclusion. Hope somebody can help me. I purchased a kdf50e2010 model in april 2007, and for maybe the past year i've had a 3" thick red band going horizontally at the top of the screen, and also some thinner green banding too. It's really started to get on my nerves, so i'm taking action. It's obviously out of sony's 1 year waranty, and i took no extended cover (silly me). Does anybody out there know if it is a lamp fault? or something i could do myself? Much appreciated.
That model number is for an LCD TV, not a rear projection. If your TV is LCD, then it is not a bulb problem. That being said, I don't know exactly what the problem would be.
