C/C++ programming on psp

Hey all! I searched the net for a psp programming guide on c++ (i know how to program in it) and i downloaded cygwin, and the psp toolchain.
i set up cigwin with devel tools and wget.
Now when i try to run ./toolchain.sh , it tells me to :
"set $pspdev first"

What should i do? i am used to linux but i do not have alot experience with linux shell.

Could someone please help me?
