I have an old PSP on CFW 1.5 running 3.52 firmware i think..But I have a problem with power - the PSP only works when the mains charger is plugged in. I've purchased a new battery but the problem still remains.
Is this a problem that is easily fixable - or will I have to take it to a Sony store? Im just worried they'll see the homebrew on it and confiscate!
Also, because of this problem, I havent played the thing in ages, so Im out of touch with what the latest firmware available is....Im desperate to play Chinatown wars...is this working on old PSPs now?
Yeah, does anyone found any solution at all? I have the same problem, my psp turns off after awhile if the battery is inserted even when plugged with the charger. But if i remove the battery, charge and play, it works fine.
When i checked on the battery information thing, it just says external power, nothing about the battery
Then the fuse has probably blown on the circuit board. (loads of websites show the location for each version of board)
However this fuse is surface mount and needs a great deal of luck to replace, you can bridge it but if anything goes wrong in the future the psp may be toast!
