New psp, what memory stick to get?

Hey. I just got a new psp 3000, still in the box. I want to get as much memory as I can possibly put in it, preferrably 16 gb. However, a sony 16 gb memory stick is somewhere around $79. Dont want to use up that much money, considering I just bought the psp. Can I use a sandisk 16 gb card? Will I need a adapter to go with it, then? Or should I just wait a bit and buy a proper sony 16 gb card? Pros and cons?

Yes, of course you can use a Sandisk card, they are sometimes better than the sony ones. Sony and Sandisk share the patent for this technology, so neither is a fake stick.

Xbox 360: On my fourth console, first one rrod 3 times, second one sold at ebay because of no HDMI, third one rrod during flashing (supposedly killed that drive), fourth one up and working on LT 3.0
PSP: Slim&Lite 2004 model with 6,60 ME v1.3
PS3: 60 Gig Model with the latest official firmware for going online and a modified case for better cooling
PSVita: Need some games for it, just bought an 8 GB memory card at ebay, awaiting a Photofast addapter for MicroSD-cards.
