First off Hi, I just registered to afterDawn and I am hoping to gain some knowledge on this frustrating situation.
Quick back story for the problem at hand.
My neighbors son (13) has a PsP slim that needed some looking after do to it freezing and having other infrequent issues. I offered to take a look at it since i have one of my own and am very familiar with software/hardware of all sorts. I was able to restore and the PsP was running w/o a hitch for a few months. Now it was brought back to me and the both the analog and d-pad are unresponsive. I tried recovery mode but cannot scroll down to restore. So I research and can find nothing on this matter.
Has anyone experience this situation and have found a resolution or suggest a auto restore homebrew. If those don't exist, possibly a ssh (shell) that can access the PsP via PC (Linux/Mac/Win).Remember there is no way for me to install anything I am unable to press down. It just seems odd for both controls to go out at the same time but I haven't pulled apart the logic board quite yet.
Honestly, any suggestions or comments will help. I much appreciate your time and hope return the favor if ever needed.
