PSP got wet in rain, green light wont turn off

One of our PSPs got wet while in my brother's bag. Its still functioning but whenever we try to turn it off completely the green light just keeps on blinking.

As far as i can tell the battery area seems to be the only place where the water sipped in. I didn't try to dissasemble the PSP so i dont know how much water got in.

What should i do? Is there any chance i can get it back to normal?
For now i left the PSP slanted with battery remove.

Try the same while plugged into the power adapter. You might have shorted part of the battery.
