psp is acting really werid?

for some reason the music, bright, and select button respond as the home button. for instinct, when i am playing a game, instead of pressing the home button to exit to the xmb i have to use the bright or music button. when i,m on the web browser i have to use the select button.

on 3.90 m33-3 my sound works perfect but when update to 5.00 m33-6 i have to put it in sleep mode then turn it back on for it to work.

also when i use vsh menu, my psp won't exit out of it unless i shut down the the psp.

any help will be appreciated.

Could be a couple of problems-did you expose the psp to any moisture at all? It is possible you have a short or perhaps the ribbon cable came loose causing an ill connection. In which case you will need to remove the faceplate to check out the buttons underneath, maybe clean up that button strip with a Q-tip and some rubbing alcohol as well as making sure the ribbon cable is inserted all the way.

You said everything seemed to work when you were running 3.90M33?
Have you tried downgrading back to an earlier firmware version yet to see if the buttons function as they should?

Try upgradin to 5.03 M33-6. I use that and every thing works fine for me.If downgrading it to 3.90M33 or upgrading to 5.03 M33-6 didnt work, it is a hardware fault.
