Hello there, I have a rather severe problem with a PSP. I've searched the best I could for this specific problem and although some were rather close I haven't seen a topic that had the exact problem I have, so I apologize if I missed a topic about my problem with a solution.

You see, I bought a PSP slim off some dude without a battery for $20. I knew it'd probably have some problems so I knew what I was getting into. Well, everytime I press the home button, the screen light button and the equalizer button I get a black screen although the sound and controls are still working. Up until recently this could be reverted just by putting it on hold for a bit. So it wasn't a big problem at the time.

Now the screen seems to do that for no reason, just for being turned on now. And to add to this, it does it when I plug my headphones into it and it mutes the sound when I do so. Now, what exactly is going on, I really have no idea. If anyone has any answer to this, it would be greatly appreciated.
