I just ordered a (G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600) Just to get my rig up and runing and later on I want to add a 8gb. The problem is the only 1.5v dual channel 1600 8gb is the ripjaw series (G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600) and the one I bought is not a ripjaw. Is it possible to mix the 2 series if both specs match?

    Timing The 4gb is: 9-9-9-24
    Timing The 8gb is: 9-9-9-24-2N

seems ok as long as you have the two that are the same right next to each other

That should be ok, so long as the matching ones are not right next to eachother...you want them to run as pairs...on most boards, this means they will be ordered like this:

    2gb, 4gb, 2gb, 4gb

I think you may have to do a little more research sorry man.
Lookup dual and triple channel ram.

Indeed, you should not be using separate RAM next to each other, but rather in matched pairs. I.e. Memory type A goes in slots 1 and 3, Memory type B in slots 2 and 4.
