HEllo there. Im building a new computer and want you opinion about it. Heres the parts: Case = Scout Gaming ATX Dvd Drive = Samsung DVD±RW SH-S223C/BEBE MB = MSI P55-GD65, LGA1156 HD = Samsung 1TB SpinPoint F3 3.5", SATAII, 32MB, 7200RPM Samsung 250GB F3, 3.5", 7200rpm, 16MB (This is For Windows Only) Memory = Corsair CMP8GX3M2A1600C9 2 x 4GB, DDR3 1600MHz, 9-9-9-24 CPU = Core i5 760, 2.8GHz, LGA1156, 8MB, Boxed PSU = Corsair CMPSU-600CXEU 600W CX Builder Series, ATX GPU = Club 3D AMD Radeon 6850, 1GB GDDR5, 2xDVI/HDMI/DP, PCI-E This all would cost about 980 euros. Please tell me if i should change or add something. Thanks
Case: 9/10, assuming you mean the Coolermaster Storm Scout. If you don't, then please elaborate as not all cases are equal! ODD: 8/10 - Heard of some minor issues with Samsung drives for this and that, if you're serious about burning discs you may want to look elsewhere but from a reliability standpoint I don't think there's any problem with them. Motherboard: 8/10 - A decent board with a high specification, but firstly do you need such a board, and secondly do you intend to overclock with it? There are better boards for the latter, and there a cheaper boards if you don't need such a high specification. HDDs: 7/10 - I'm no big fan of Samsung drives, they're OK but they can sometimes be problematic. If you've already bought these drives then it's fine, and the F3s are among Samsung's better offerings anyway, but if you're buying these new forget about the 250GB drive and buy an SSD instead, it will be much much better for you. As for the 1TB drive, go with a WD1001FALS or WD1002FAEX instead. RAM: 10/10 - excellent memory, and this stuff has come down in price too. CPU: 10/10 - No problems here PSU: 4/10 - Surprisingly for Corsair, the new CX range is dire. Avoid it. You will do fine with a 450W VX for this system assuming you aren't going to add a more powerful graphics card etc. at a later date. The 450W VX is still plenty of power for your system [you're going to be using about 190-210W here] but in a better quality quieter power supply. GPU: 8/10 - Definitely Yes on the HD6850, but I'd buy from a more reputable brand. HD6850s are not built by AMD they're built by the company with the label on them, and Club3D do not have a good track record. I'd say buy either an MSI, Gigabyte or XFX version. Avoid Club3D, HIS, Asus and Sapphire.

The only thing i know about them, is that they are pretty expensive? Like an Intel 40GB X25-V G2 SSD costs about 90 euros. So is it really worth it? What else PSU would you recommend? i really dont know anything about them either. allways assumed more power = The better it is? but apparently that is not the case? For the GPU. What would be a better choice: XFX AMD Radeon HD 6850 1 GB GDDR5, 2xDVI/HDMI/DP PCI-E OR Gigabyte AMD Radeon HD 6850 1 GB, 2xDVI/HDMI/DP, PCI-E And i was wondering, would it not be better to buy a Gigabyte HD6870? The Gigabyte HD6850 version costs about 190 euros and THE Gigabyte HD6870 would cost 235 euros?
Yeah that's the one, it's a decent case. SSDs aren't there for storage capacity, they're there for loading a small number of programs [primarily your operating system itself] extremely fast. They're expensive for their size, but as a performance advantage if you're building a relatively high-end PC like this they're a good idea. PSUs are far from the wattage figure. About 80% of all gaming PCs would run off the base model 380W offered by good PSU manufacturers. A Corsair VX 450W is fine for your build, it's a much better unit than the 600W CX. For the card, either will do fine, whichever you can get cheapest. Usually this is XFX.
Okay, I changed the Samsung 250GB F3, 3.5", 7200rpm, 16MB to an Intel 40GB X25-V G2 SSD MLC, SATA II, 34nm (Does a SSD hdd work just like an Normal HDD? Just to plug the power cable in and the sata cabble from the SSD HDD to the motherbord? And then just install windows in it?) And i chose the XFX AMD Radeon HD 6850 1 GB GDDR5, 2xDVI/HDMI/DP PCI-E. For the PSU, from the site where i order this stuff, they did not have the Corsair VX 450W, but instead they did have a Corsair 550W 550VXEU ATX V2.2 (Is this a good choise?) And for the RAM. Is there any HUGE difference between 8GB and 4GB. The OS would be Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit version.
Yes they work the same way as normal hard drives in that respect. PSU and the graphics card are fine. As for memory it depends what you're doing. 4GB is enough for the vast majority of things, but 8GB is cheap enough now such that when it is required (a couple of games already require it) it will have been a worthwhile investment.
