so here's the deal, i have a computer in my living room that connects to the internet directly, and i have a net gear router that connects wirelessly to a PC in my bedroom as well as one more in my office room. i have a net gear router in my bedroom that has my modded xbox hooked up to it via crossover cable and i am trying to connect a PC that i built yesterday to the network (also via crossover cable) but it just keeps saying that i have limited or no connectivity and my neat gear router wont acknowledge that the PC is plugged in....any reason why its doing this?
You shouldn't be using crossover cables with routers, just normal patch cables. I wouldn't have thought it would make a difference, but I'd recommend trying it.
