Ok, so I am fairly new to the technology that is out now. I am looking for a great build not to cost more then $1000.00-$1500.00. Does anyone have suggestions on what the build may be? I am an avid gamer and love the newer games that are out and coming out. So I would really love to be able to run these. Also that money includes a new monitor as well. I am looking for a 22-24 inch screen with awesome display. One more thing I would like to add is I want the computer to be very well put together (part wise) to be able to run future games for a while. Anyone have any suggestions on the build and the monitor? I know there are tons of vets here and I would really love everyons opinions.

The only thing that someone might argue about is the hard drive's brand...but I consider Seagate to be the best 1.5TB drive available. You could also spend $10 more for an intentionaly crippled WD drive that probably won't work anyway, and runs slower...but I would stick with the seagate. Also, the video card is not available right now. Every time a store gets them, they seem to sell out within an hour or two. Good luck finding one.
I am liking the reviews on all the products. I appreciate the build but there is one question. The case you suggested, doesn't look like it would keep cool all that well. What made you pick the case? Also with a $1446.00 price tag on that computer I am wondering if there is a cheaper build with quality parts that still might run about the same. Also, what would the next video card down you might suggest be? I am not saying the parts are not worth it in any matter. I am just wondering about the video card. I plan on ordering everything Sunday and building it as soon as it gets here. So I am going to need parts that will be in stock. Which so far, looks like the video card is the only thing that usually isn't.
I mainly picked the case because it is cheap & well made. This realy isn't a high-end system, and I don't think that it would make enough heat to necesitate a case full of fans. Between the stock 120 in the rear and the extra 120 up front, it should cool just fine. The hard drive is a 1.5TB...you could easily save money by getting a smaller one. The CPU cooler is only needed if you want to overclock. The next step down in the video department will actualy cost $100 more than this card, it is the nVidia GTX 295. The next step down from there is the GTX 285 (starts at $370). The next step down is the 4850 at $300, but almost as hard to find as the 5870. The old 4890 is still a nice card, and will play all games, just not at the super-high resolutions. You can get them for just $180. This might be a good route, as it will last you at least until you can get a 5870 or better for $220 or less. You were right about the graphics card. I ordered everything else. Just waiting for SOMEONE to come instock with the card. Let me know if you find a page that has it? I will keep checking this post.
If you are waiting for a card to come into stock, you might be waiting for a while...the last round of cards moslty went to people who had pre-ordered, or to those who were willing to pay $500 or more...only a few lucky people were able to get them for $400 with pre-ordering. This will probably get worse as we get closer to the holidays.
you can aswell buy an XFX hd 5870. They are highly reliable. Either sapphire, XFX, or Gigabyte. Those are my highest reliable experience. I prefer XFX I have dealed with it for a long time. No problems. Almost never comes DOA.
You do realize how hard it is to get a 5870 right now dont you? I agree on getting a 295 considering the availability of the 5870 right now. Although the 4890s are pretty nice as well as I use one right now.

Tigerdirects site doesnt work atm. Amazons sold out. Tried froogle and checked about 5-6 retailers on there and guess what...sold out.
I checked price watch, and even called around to all the local stores that I though might have them...no luck. I guess I'll have to spend my money on that new muffler instead...it would have been waisted on a Phenom I anyway.
