I know for a fact that a lot of games won't play if you have intel graphics on them.I had to go out and buy a separate video card.
Those models are available in a load of different spec configurations, need more info to compare specific models. Roughly speaking though, the AMD config is looking like a more worthwhile purchase at the starting price bracket.
In which case, yes, the ENVY looks better value for money. Quite evenly matched in terms of CPU, but the extra $50 is worth is for the dedicated graphics card and the more easily upgradeable RAM (which suggests a superior motherboard). I would ask HP to sell you it with Windows 7 installed, though.
Because Windows 7 is still the best choice - Windows 8 will be entirely different from what you're used to, so I suggest that you do a little reading up and decide if it is for you beforehand.
