i am going to be buying 4gb(2gbx2) ram for my computer. its ddr2 and im not sure if i should get ddr2 800 or ddr2 1066.

My question is: the ddr2800 has higher timings (4-4-4-12) where as the 1066 has (5-5-5-15). is it better to get the ram with faster timings or higher mhz?

1066mhz memory is only beneficial if you need to overclock and raise the Front Side Bus speed. If you do not overclock, have a low FSB processor, or use an AMD CPU, then none of these apply, and 800mhz will be fine.
