    what OS is this?
Are you using avg free 9.0 antivirus?
That software was causing BSOD on my XP computer, not everyday but often enough to get me to replace it. After replacing it, the BSOD went away.

It can also be caused by drivers and some defragmenting software like perfectdisk etc. You can try removing completely (not disabling) any recent software you might have installed.

On very rare occasions it can be caused by hardware (but usually driver related).

Did you add or change any hardware or software just before these errors started to occur?

Have you installed any software that does anything automatically on a weekly basis? Anti-virus? Defrag? OS updates?

Id upgrade your drivers. Is this a custom built or a prebuilt like a Dell or HP?

The component manufacturers' support sites. Motherboard support site, graphics card support site, Microsoft support site, etc.

More then likley yes. Windows 7 has much better drive support through windows updates then Win XP did, and Vista to.
