I have built a custom built pc, with spare parts I had . The motherboard is a 775 socket and possibly a hp or packard bell. The cpu is a 3Ghz socket 775 to match.

    I had a 512 DD2 spare stick of ram.

The problem that I had is that the post was giving me 2 extra Beeps after the Initial 1st beep when the computer boots up. There were no error messages on the screen and the computer booted up as usual.

I have managed to change the Bios and not I get just 1 extra beep during POST, and again the computer boots up as usual.

I have change the RAM and switched the slots that I am using.

Any Ideas and suggestion would be appreaciated. Would an BIOs uprade help, (I have never done an bios upgrade, would that help in any way)

More beeps and there's no issue with the system at all? Are you sure it's not just something silly like a 'notify if hardware changes' signal that's been left on in the BIOS? if you have no issues using your system there is nothing to worry about really.
