Well, I am about to build a new rig.

I have the ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 AM3 AMD 890GX HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Mobo and am wanting it in a custom mini case which the I/O's do not line up the same.

Can anyone tell me a good way to go about finding a compatible case for this damn mobo? I really want to use this Raimax Smilodon ATX-612WBP Black 1.0mm SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Foldout MB Computer Case but it looks like that's a no go at this point.

I haven't bought anything yet, looking for a clue if there is a certain type of case that generally supports this board. The case and the mobo are both ATX. From what I can tell the shield does not detach from the case.

Can't believe there isn't a way around this problem.

    Any sudgestions?

That case would work just fine...it is a bit too expensive for what you get in my opinion, but it should work fine...any ATX case will have a detachable shield...except for the cases that don't come with shields to start with.

From a short dig on the web, I do believe this case has a removable I/O shield as have most if not all ATX type cases for the past decade. The shield will just pop out when pushed along the ridged edges from the outside of the case, whicj will then allow you to put your new one in. This is pretty much SOP for the IT industry.
