Toshiba make reasonably good quality laptops. As to whether this particular one is good depends on what you want to use it for. It has a decent amount of storage space, RAM and an OK processor, the screen is relatively weak, but big. The only problem is that it won't be able to play any games, since it has Intel graphics. If you don't play any games, just browse, watch video and so on, you'll be fine with it.

Thanks for the comment. I actually bought that one yesterday and I think it's fine so far, not a huge fan of the touchpad as there is no divider between the cursor area and the scroller, if that makes sense.

Anyway, I have 14 days to make a return or exchange so I have until then to decide if I want to keep it or not.

As for use, it's basically used for browsing, email, movies, music, downloading. I will eventually be using it for photoshop though, so I don't know if it will be good enough for that or if I should opt for a better laptop.

Thanks again and keep the comments coming.

I'm not a huge fan of the regular toshibas, but those toughbooks are cool. My dad has traveled with his for more than 3 million miles...and it still works just fine.
