Is your current system AGP or PCI express? That's not included in the specs, but you must have known in order to buy the correct X1550.

as you might of gathered my machine is a little ouf of date as ive had it around 7 years now, so far no major problems and does everything i need it to do, apart from the odd game or 2.

are there any good agp cards out there as my birthday is coming soon so i could get a descent one.

    thanx

Unfortunately no, AGP Was obsoleted in 2004, and no high performance cards have been designed for it for years.

It's at least 4-5 times as powerful, I know that much.
There are other cards in that price range, but the HD4650 is the best you'll find.
