i need to buy a new card the one i have came with the pc when i bought it. its a asus nvidia geforce 8500 beyond that i dont know anything else about it. i need to know if i upgrade it what would be a good card to get that would be compatible with my pc between $100-$200. i would like to be able to plug it in and play if possable. now my pc info its a hp m8400f 9600 quadcore amd processor 2.31 GHz 2MB system bord is a nvidia MCP61 the ram is kingston and samsung DDR2-SDRAM PC2-6400/800 MHz not sure wht kind of hard drive
Why do you think it's the graphics card that's been destroyed? It is just as likely that other components are affected as well.
Someone that says 'plzzz trust me' without explaining how they came to the conclusion gives me even more doubt than I already have. What tests have you carried out?
Well, if that's the only thing that's damaged (it's unusual but it's possible), then I'd say something like another 8500GT. You can buy a much faster card, but it will require removing the existing drivers and reinstalling new ones (said much faster card is a Radeon HD4670). This is the fastest card I would recommend for this PC without causing overheat or power issues.
would you mind linking me the 8500 to make sure i dont get the wrong thing thank you actually can you link both of them and step by step instructions on how to do the drivers
it's literally, uninstall from the control panel, go online, get latest drivers, run and follow instructions. If you buy another 8500 you don't need to do this but bear in mind the 8500 is much slower than the HD4670.
when i copy n paste this Radeon HD4670 on newegg i get severl differ things would you mind linking the best and the best for the price
