I am building a new pc next week. Here is my part list and some of my concerns. I have looked on the internet and haven't found the answers as of yet.

    Intel i7 2600k
    Gigabyte P67A-UD5
    Kingston DDR 2000 8GB
    Gigabyte 6970
    Corsair 128GB SSD Sata III
    WD 1TB Sata III
    Samsung Blueray/DVD
    P183 V3
    Antec cp 850

    Will i need additional cooling?
Will the 6970 card fit into the case without removing the drive bay?
If the drive bay does have to be removed can I still mount the SSD?

    Thanks!

Well the HD 6970's dimensions are 28.7 x 11.12 x 3.81, so it should fit in your case. (Contact Antec to be more sure.)

Noctua NH-D14 would be a perfect CPU fan and heatsink.

I see that you went with SATA3 WD, from what i know, SATA3 is useless with only one HDD, unless you get a pair of those, they wont give you the speed you think you'll get. If im wrong, please correct me, but i think that going with a pair of 500GB drives or a pair of 1TB drives on a RAID 0, would be much faster than 1 SATA3 6GB ..

Obviously i was talking about the speed difference between One SATA 6Gb/s and Two SATA 3Gb/s set in RAID 0, according to what i said/meant, the conclusion was that two sata3 in raid0 perform faster than one sata6 hdd. Hence there's no use of paying extra cash on sata6 unless you get a pair of them, and i didn't mention SATA1.5 whatsoever.

SATA6 is a touch faster, but it's nearly 20-30% more expensive. It's not worth the added cost, and technically, those specs are possibilities.

If you were to correct me, talk about the two SATA's i mentioned, not the 1.5 that i haven't ever mentioned. Im not saying im right, just be reasonable when you're saying im wrong and proof it.

Well, he listed WD 1TB Sata III, from what i know, SATA I = 1.5Gb/s, SATA II = 3Gb/s, and SATA III = 6Gb/s. (I = 1 in roman numerals, and stands for the revision number or generation of SATA controller)

    Wiki is a great informative.
