I installed SAPPHIRE 100245HDMI Radeon HD 4850 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video and a creative Extremgamer card. and down loaded software for both. plunged the hdmi cable into my home theater. No sound. I went to the control panel and accessed the sound device and tested the sound from the Hdmi cable and only got one ping. Any suggestions.

are you connected your HDMI cable from your computer directly to your TV, or to a surround sound receiver, then from the receiver to the TV? if you are connecting the cable to a receiver and not directly to the TV, you need to run a seperate digital audio cable to the receiver. you can only get audio from the HDMI cable if it is directly connected to the TV. it has something to do with copy protection or something stupid like that...
