Plug SATA Devices into SATA 3.0 Port?

    Pretty much what the title says. Could I plug a regular SATA cable from a hard drive or DVD drive into a SATA 3.0 Port on my motherboard? Or will I need to buy different devices and cables?

    yes on regular sata onto sata 3.
