    Hello everyone,

My computer's HDD is running on EIDE. I just bought another SATA HDD and I want to use it as a secondary backup disk. I plugged everything in but the new HDD is not shown in My Computer. Anyone has any idea on how to run EIDE and SATA together?

    Thanks in advanced

Go to control pane;>administrative tools>computer management>disk management to setup the new drive.

My guess is the drive doesnt have a file system. Do as KillerBug said and set the drive to NTFS. Then it should work with out any extra configuration. I have run 2 IDE drives and 3 SATA HDDs in the past with no problems.

Yup, you need to initialize the disk first as killerbug said so windows knows its there, then format it as Xlporer mentioned.

I would make sure it shows up in the BIOS too, just to make sure that it is recognized.
