   hi everyone i was just wondering if its possiable to upgrade my media center to a quad core?
   
   its a Sony Vaio VGX-XL100 at the moment it has a pentuim D is it possiable to install a core 2 quad Q9550?
   
   it runs on the intel 945P chipset i think but not to sure...

   can't be done as they use 2 different die sizes & bios is not setup for it. http://www.docs.sony.com/release/specs/VGXXL1_mksp.pdf
