upgrading

    Since this is a Cyberpower PC and Cyberpower systems use very low quality parts, the PSU is likely to be suspect. Before I advise any upgrades you ought to check the brand of the PSU and see if it's up to taking any upgrades (overclocking the CPU counts too, since that increases the amount of power the system will use).

    Your main issue is not going to be the CPU, assuming you want better games performance it'll be the graphics card, which is a low-end cheap offering. An HD5850 for $290 would be 8 times as powerful as it, so in games where you get a disastrous 6-7fps rendering them unplayable, an HD5850 would manage 50-55, which is very acceptable.
